It is “an authentic language of a woman’s health and fertility”. The Creighton Model is based on a woman's knowledge and understanding of her naturally-occurring phases of fertility and infertility. Creighton Model is a standardized system of observation of the fertility signs (menstrual flow, cervical mucus flow, dry days). These signs and biological markers are charted by women for gynaecological health maintenance and by couples to achieve or avoid pregnancy. The woman’s observation is charted at the end of each day. At any given time a couple is in a position to know their fertile and infertile days in each menstrual cycle. Through this understanding, the couple is able to make decisions (choices) regarding the achievement or avoidance of pregnancy.
There is nothing more precise than Creighton Model in identifying the time of fertility in a woman’s menstrual cycle. Creighton Model provides women with the added benefit of being able to monitor and maintain their procreative and gynecologic health over a lifetime. The biomarkers also identify abnormalities in a woman’s health. With a few minutes of daily observation, a woman has incredible insight into the function of her body. When used to achieve pregnancy by couples with normal fertility the effectiveness is: By the 1st cycle 76%, by the 6th cycle 98%. In couples with infertility effectiveness to achieve pregnancy with the use of Creighton Model alone is 20 - 40%, with the use of Creighton Model and NaProTECHNOLOGY treatment, the success rate will depend on the underlying causes of infertility. When used to avoid pregnancy: method effectiveness (perfect use) is 99.5%, and use effectiveness (typical use) is 96.8%.
The Creighton Model FertilityCare System provides comprehensive, professional services through individualized follow-up, standardized teaching tools and ongoing research. If you wish to learn more about Creighton Model for fertility awareness and/or to learn about your gynecologic health you can contact your local Teacher-Practitioner for an Introductory Session (60mins. slide presentation) after which you are to attend a series of individualized follow-up teaching sessions. The instruction in the use of the system as well as a complete personal chart review is provided at the follow-up sessions which occur on the following schedule.

Subsequent follow-ups are recommended every 6 to 12 months as needed. The first follow-up last 90 min while the subsequent session last about 60min.
After 2-3 full cycles of recorded observations on the Creighton Model chart, the Practitioner-Teacher will refer the woman/ couple to NaProTECHNOLOGY Medical Consultant for assessment and treatment in case of abnormal biomarkers on the chart indicating gynecological health issue or if couple experienced difficulty in conceiving.
